Choose Alnico III magnets for a rounded, smooth sound, and Alnico V if you're looking for something more punchy.

The sound demos for this pickup were recorded with staggered poles on a 34-inch scale Alpher Hammerhead bass, with a one piece Sassafras body, one piece quarter-sawn Wenge neck and a Wenge fingerboard.
